Same issue here, I normally get about one spam a month, but got seven last night!

 

Its as though the spam filter is off at Vodafone.

ihug users.  Someone hasn't gotten your ihug database has it Vodafone?

 

I started getting spam after clicking cleverloop security competition link from freitasm.

I am totally not saying it was GZ link, just found it coincidental. I love this site

I've always found spam a bit of a cat and mouse affair. Spammers figure out a way of beating spam traps and levels increase; spam trappers then update their algorithms and it dies down again. Until the next variation.

A few years back there was a bunch of spam (particularly to corporate email addresses) that contained haikus and other poetry/quotes. I actually enjoyed that for a day or so.

Pity that the w an kers at Vodafone can't or won't sort out these Ihug spam attacks.

I am getting pissed off at the amount of crap that is coming through......................

Just looked at my Spam box - a total of 940 emails with "Document2" attached among other malware.

I really should get around to firing up a virtual machine and executing some of these for science...

Yep, woke this morning to about 12 spam emails!!   Used to get a couple a month. 

20 spam emails this morning.

Cmon Vodafone can we have an update on this?  Why is this happening to so many ihug users?

Another 20 or so again this morning, come on Vodafone, this is getting ridiculous!   An update on what happened and why, and a bit more than "we are working on it" would be appreciated. Is there even anything on the Vodafone website about this so that people know they didn't click on something dodgy, or perhaps advise people not to open attachments etc ... what to do if the accidentally open one? Come on .. is a bit of common sense too much to ask?
