well as i can stream it happily via wifi, on a 1 bar 4G Skinny Broadband connection (avg 15/2) I'd say its definitely your connection/ISP at issue :)

Its an odd one, some sort of routing issue between Vodafone and the site itself then?

right about now is when an actual person from vodafone needs to add their 2 cents ;-)

If it is related to peering it might be easier to just switch ISPs.

Exactly this, although to vodafones credit, they actually seem to care a little more about peering than a year or so back.

doubt unless you can prove it to be a network fault, they will do alot about it though..

As for nelson, i was just following the trace, looks as-though vodafone my terminate you in Wellington.

Pauses on mine also.

Vodafone VDSL played via VLC player.

low res, but can hear noticeable distortion in the audio whilst it was being played.

Overall, pretty craptastic result.

Hope you guys let it run at least a couple of minutes?

Appears that on Vodafone it gets lost, throttled? strangled? choked  in their network somewhere.

I'm not concerned about that particular stream howver there is other content from the same server that I would like to access and who knows what other sites the issue is effecting?

Is anyone at Vodafone reading this thread?

currently testing with heavy streaming (looking at bursts of pegging - 70% contention on upstream and downstream) on my adsl line

still totally stable, not a single drop.

screenshot upload didnt even upset it.

Dinner time for me, ill leave it going while im at dinner doubt it will drop at all since streaming is pratically just this now that everyone is feeding their faces

Vodafone UFB 100/20 in Wellington. Exactly the same symptoms as OP (streams fine for ~30 seconds, then freezes).
