paradoxsm: The 6220 classic! and it's got the 5MP camera and Xenon flash! and yes it has a lens cover. no Wifi but.

The only thing I'm unsure of is if it's 850 UMTS or 900 UMTS, GSM arena lists it as 850 but I'm sure it's 900.

I got to handle 4 different 6121 phones the other day and there seemed to be build quality inconsitencies bewteen them and 3 of 4 had hard and nasty keypads. (The VodaNZ white was the best)
I spotted 3 different camera modules and one type has a bad green tinge (same module as my CDMA 6275 which also has the green)

6120 is a pile of ancient junk by the way, nothing similar to 6121

I'm still using my old 6234 as it's been the most solid phone so far.

Only difference is the network.6121 is ancient too!!!

Why do you keep repeating this?

I don't believe a handset that's been only been publically available for just on 7 months is ancient.

This 6121 and the 6020 are *not* the same handset despite sharing similair features and casing. The 6120 was available months before the 6121 was released by Nokia.

It's also the only phone currently publically available that supports 900Mhz UMTS.

I would rather buy a nokia 6500 classic than a 6120. 7 months is considered old. Mobiles are release every quarter overseas.
There are other models that suppose the 900 mhz. I say its old remaking a 6120 to a 6121 and then say yeah its new cos it runs on 900 mhz. Lame. I see no reason to buy it but of course others are welcome to buy it.

new mobiles are released all the time on the vodafone nz and telecom network not sure what this has to do with it.

FYI the Nokia 6500 was actually announced before the 6121 and made it to market around the same time (~September 2007)

Good on you if you want a 6500 - it won't work on 900 WCDMA though.

I have a nokia n82.Better than paying the same price for a N73 here.I hate branded mobiles

ninjabear, please stay on topic. Steve was asking for any Nokia 6121 users to see if they could pick up the UTMS 900 network that recently went live.

I don't think that this is the place to be debating this. If you'd like to discuss this further, please take it to another thread.

I did not notice it appear on the 6121 though however I was in Wellington at the time in poor coverage.

Yay! Yes 900MHz WCDMA, but no wifi :-(

I'm yet to see a 900MHz UMTS device that makes me say "perfect" like the E90 did this time last year! But we haven't seen any E series ones yet so here's hoping there is a secret one for launch day next month :-)

Remember not every 900MHz site will have 900MHz UMTS coverage - the emphasis is still on 2100Mhz for the major cities. Vodafone are actually starting a huge buildout in Wellington at present with a lot of new 2100MHz sites being rolled out.
