Come now guys, surely you are not having a bad experience with NZs #1 service provider?  Ahhh.. that one just kills me, it really does..

I have exactly the same problem as pretty much everyone in the Wellington area, spent many hours on the phone to Telstra (most of those hours on hold) and even paid for toll calls to their complaints dept in Auckland, and still waiting a resolution.  It took about 4-5 calls before they even admitted there MIGHT be a problem with my connection.

Im running a Linksys WR54 series, with the DD-WRT firmware, and sadly it doesnt seem to have made a difference at all. =(

I dont have a problem with the speed i get, its the frequent disconnects..  VERY frequent..

So hopefully the "fixes" above happen soon, and they happen well.

I havnt decided yet if I am prepared to wait 2-3 more weeks.

Best people to talk to are actually the Sales people. They have given me choices, but sadly no PDQ in the emantime as their deal with Telecom wont allow that.
