Exactly what Steve said then. When your mobile device "cast" to the Chromecast device it actually just gives it a token and a service identification. The Chromecast then uses its own Internet access (your broadband) to access the service and use the token to stream the content.
This means your Chromecast needs Internet access - usually via your broadband. But if you are thinking of using this "mobile unlimited" plan you can't tether the Chromecast to your phone for Internet access as it is not allowed in the plan.
"Casting" doesn't move the content from your phone to the Chromecast.
