Everybody has different experiences, so that said, the experience we have with one ISP may not be the same as another has with that same ISP, its just our experience hence our own opinion.
My opinion of Woosh, is very poor...not only did they throttle their service, but they outright lied to their customers and let the situation continue for months, as they were actively trying to rid customers who had signed up for a plan they later deemed unprofitable.
My opinion of Xnet, is generally very good (to date), but these service cuts are disappointing, and as such I hope they don't continue. Other than that, Xnet is very good.

Theiw web site state that they had a network outage. Last week they did major upgrades/changes so one can expect a few glitches. It is clear that they do develop/upgrade their systems, you will get less outages if there are no upgrades.
vel: mine is down too. What the he'll xnet, second prolonged outage! One more and I switch providers. This never happened with telecom in 3 years!
i am on an unlimited xtra connection on waiheke island and i was having all sorts otf problems last nite , it took me nearly an hour to get a good connection this morning , so i think you problems may have been a bit further up the food chain than just xnet.
Yup, mine died also. The most annoying thing is that my PAP2T goes wonky, and, according to xnet help desk, goes into an endless loop trying to download something. Turning it off and on doesn't fix the problem. The only solution is to do a full factory reset then set it back up again. It happened this time, and on the infamous Sunday outage.
natedog: Still out of action at our place in Christchurch!! Must have picked the wrong first month to come on board with Xnet! Having trouble convincing my better half that the phone and net will be better than Woosh at this stage! I hope?!
From my experiances with woosh, even with these issues xnet are still miles ahead...
