Your backup system sounds fine. Make sure you're doing incremental backups to cope with viruses, and schedule restore tests in your calendar.

Do you cull your photos and videos? 1.5TB is a heck of a lot. I delete about 75% of the photos and videos I take. If you do it every time you upload to your computer it's fairly quick and easy, if you have to do years of it at once it's a mission.

I should probably do more culling, although so far it's been simpler just to increase drive size.

It's two decades worth of RAW files from a number of dSLRs as well as associated psd files etc.  Looking at the directories, I could possibly cull a few large friend and family events  where I was the designated photographer, and there is also a marked increase in file numbers associated with the years I was a work-from-home dad who was spending a lot of time with a photogenic baby/toddler :)

Something like fast picture viewer is a quick way to review and rate images, though I'm not sure it's still being developed. There will be something else available, like Adobe Bridge or Photo Mechanic. All are paid tools. I liked Fast Picture Viewer as it generated XMP files which Adobe Bridge could read.

I also do things like convert old RAW images to jpeg, where they're things I don't much care about but want to keep, which reduces storage requirements by about 80%.
