If it gives anyone cold comfort, cable was unaffected for my lot in welly yesterday - I would have know from the chorus of outrage at home if it had gone down
I haven't had any issues with the cable either, also in Wellington.
Been starting to have issues on the Wgtn cable network since last night.
Getting sites not found or timing out and images not loading in Twitter unless I switch the phone to use the mobile network and not the WiFi.
Couldn't download the latest phone update via the WiFi either but could straight away on the mobile network.
Switched to the Google DNS to see if that improves anything.
I'm guessing the overall network is under a significantly bigger load than usual.

I'm unable to connect to COD MW or World of Tanks using Vodafone UFB. Changed DNS to Google's and restarted my machine. Still the same issues. Cannot load Twitter either :(

Same sort of issues here in Ngaio on cable. If I use my VPN provider to connect to their NZ server all is good but as soon as I use a straight connection, no twitter, no connections to things like Nvidia etc. WOT fine.

Oh good, so it's not just something wrong with my system.
Anyone got round to calling it in? I'm guessing they can't fix what they don't know about.
This outages map effects where I live so I'm going to assume that's the problem for now. It does seem to impact only specific sites though...I'm fine on here! Nonetheless, I'll wait till Sunday and see how bored I am by then.

It seems to be a general problem with Vodafone cable and connecting to the EdgeCast CDN, now called Verizon Digital Media Services - unsurprisingly their website doesn't load either. Twitter use EdgeCast for serving their static content (images and JavaScript), I've also had issues on Engadget (owned by Verizon).
Cable, chch.
Been trying to get on to https://www.business.govt.nz/news/covid-19-latest-news-and-updates all day, same with NZ Post, just times out, twitter too of course, github comes and goes...
Might have to pull out the mobile and tether.

Seems to have come right since about 10pm. Will see how it's going in the morning.

It may (or may not) have been fixed as a result of this community forum post. I upgraded my router firmware and started using IPv6 at the suggestion of the VF tech in the forum, and things started working nicely. But then I checked and IPv4 was also working, so I don't know if he tweaked something at the same time, or whether it was coincidence.
