insane: looks like it was only DSL services as my VFX service remianed up. I'm using another ISP for my DSL.


It was within their network, however. My DSL line was up and I remained authenticated, I simply couldn't reach anything more than about 2 hops into the wider network - including XNet's DNS so basically the symptom I had was that nothing would resolve and nothing was pingable... aka fully dead.

At which point I gave up and went to bed.

Lots of things went wrong, this morning around 6 you could not send or receive e-mail, short while later you could receive but not send, then it came right and you could send and receive.  This is more than just a brief outage, so I don;t think there is much point in discussing this until/unless we find out what had happened.

Err, is everyone else good now? I used the back up dial-up plan last night, saw the outtage notice, didn't think much else of it. Get back in in late tonight, and as with last night DSL still up & at em, but no interwebs. Posting this on dial-up.

im on my xnet dsl and it appears to be working ok at present.
Havnt noticed any further problems...

Was out yesterday for a bit, not sure how long as I had an engagement plus worked all day (luckily the man did not notice) but is good now.

Whoops, take it back. My usage meter isn't working.

Edit two: usage meter is back this evening.
