Good to hear you’re up and running.

The lack of wearables from any of the non-Spark operators is annoying. I’d love to get a wearable plan but find that Spark is unable to compete with pricing from other operators. I understand that Vodafone NZ were fairly integrated with the group IT systems and there is an intensive program to seperate their IT - this is likely the cause behind the esim and wearable delays.

That being said - I just got off the phone with Telstra - I’ve spent in excess of 2 hours just getting a fibre connection provisioned, on one of Telstra’s legacy residential FTTP networks. The speeds available: 24/1 or 85/5 ($95AUD). Makes NZs infrastructure look light years ahead.

I spoke too soon... Far, far too soon.

Connection is there, done and working...

But the billing is utterly and completely screwed up.

It was quite simple - old HFC connection in Lower Hutt up until Feb 1st, and new Fibre connection in Ashburton from Feb 2nd. THAT'S NOT DIFFICULT!

Have already paid previous bill for the HFC connection through until Feb 1st.

I now have a new bill for:
- a whole another month of HFC connection from Feb 2nd to Mar 1st
- part month connection of Fibre from Jan 25th to Feb 1st
- whole month of Fibre connection from Feb 2nd to Mar 1st

What the flippin heck Vodafone - sort your damn site out and stop stuffing loyal customers around.

This is now DOUBLE DIPPING and CORRUPTION. Sort your damn useless offshore call centre people once and for all. And bloody well bill me correctly.

I've had 2degrees chasing me for 4 years to swap over to them and after this I'm starting to think I should have taken everyones advice and gone elsewhere!!

If that doesn’t work or for future frustrations, dropping Jason Paris an email works wonders.
His group of sme’s is why I’m spending ~$500 a month across various fibre and mobile services with Vodafone instead of the other players.

Fully agree that it shouldn’t come to this. He has been quite open and honest about it too. A lot of telco transformations take a long time to come to fruition.

Sales pressure is a put off for me. Insisting on transferring three times and doing somthing that makes no sense (setting up a new number) just seems desperate for a sale hopefully these overseas workers dont get actual punishment if they dont make these unethical sales.

It's a bit embarrassing how bad it is really. Every year my 12 mth term ends, every yr I ring up and go through what OP posts, to get a price higher than on website etc etc, every year I get on the phone in hope that things have got better, or tweet them, to get someone local, to then get another 12 month term at the same price, same pay monthly discount. If I don't do that, the Fibre max plan can be upto $40 more per month than what I pay..

Every now and then, it's been easier for them to close and start a new account - maybe commission or whatever. As a customer, I don't really care but please don't make it so difficult to renew my current plan with a price thats listed on the website!

I'd vote with my feet/wallet in a situation like that.
