If you want a Ferrari, pay for a Ferrari. If you want a Charade, pay for a Charade. YouTube is acceptable for non-HD, and that is what you pay for with XNet.

Xnet is dreadful for youtube and other streaming services. It's not your hardware, I have a reasonable new Macbook and sites like Youtube works fine on a full/full Orcon+ connection (at my friend's place) but not on my full/128k xnet connection. And I get 4mbits to WXC's switch but crap speeds out to the USA.

Anyhow I'm moving over to Telecom pretty soon. I've consistently noticed on other ADSL connections that Telecom (and pretty much any other non-WXC providers) seem to provide pretty good speeds even for international sites. Orcon has had issues from time to time too, but they are no where as bad as Xnet has been over the last year or so.
