I'd like to know who actually manages to use anywhere near 3GB of data on the iPhone on VF's 3G network

Unless you're standing within shouting distance of a cell site it seems like you can never stream videos or download songs without them crawling anyway. In most cases I just pause them and wait until I'm back at the office or home on WiFi.

Having 3GB is a nice number to advertise, but with the 250MB I get, I only use 90 odd MB a month with pretty heavy email and web usage.

Edit: I guess what I'm saying is, it's like offering a 100GB or unlimited plan, it's pointless.  It would be nicer if the calling rates were slashed and/or you received more minutes in the bundle.

I think vodafone's current 3GB/1000PXT promo is obviously better than anything Telecom offer.

Only problem is they expect you to sign a 24 month contract but only offer a good deal for 3 months and promise something else is to follow without any indication as to what it will be. So it is entirely possible that you could get screwed for the last 21 months with 250MB of data and no available upgrades because that is all that is currently available outside this limited promo.

Can anyone scream FANBOYS and PR STUNTS?

Makes me feel dirty just reading this thread.
