As per Twitter...

"The 3GB + 1000PXT promotion has been extended for a bit longer to customers on iPhone or Smart Plans. More info tomorrow."

Actually I'm too old to know what Twitter is so I won't believe it until I see it on VF's website, hear it from VF staff, or receive a text from VF. Fingers crossed.

boby55: I'd be surprised if you find out before its release date. Just look what happens when some one leaks a vodafone promotion over here

I reckon, sacred cow anyone?

Hoping it's something good, I'm getting close to paying out my contract to switch.

For those "too old" for Twitter (ahem)...

we've extended the special offer for a limited period. I'll have more details on it later today (which I'll probably post on Twitter. But maybe back here as well... ;-))

Cheers

Paul

Cool, thanks Paul :)

Just to clarify, I assume there will be a new offer when this offer ends as previously stated?

Personally I would be happy with another extention of this offer at the end of October, although a txt limit raise from my 100 txts/month would be awesome :P

We're looking to have tethering as some kind of bundle or add-on to a plan.

Nothing definite at this point though.

Good idea, something the competition can't offer anymore... Would be nice if it was included in the original plan though.

We like to make it as customisable as possible so customers can pick and chose the components they want... eg you with more TXT etc. Tethering would fit with that...

Yea, fantastic idea! Charging extra for using traffic in a certain way.

The rationale makes some sense in the US where plans include unlimited data (although it's ultimately pegged back to not canibalising AT&T's fixed line business, as opposed to preventing abuse etc.), but I can't see how the applies here.

We'll have to wait to see the pricing before we bag it too much, but if it's added to an existing plan for the same monthly price I don't see a problem?

Think you need to read it again. If we're selling you data to use how is that "charging extra for using traffic in a certain way"?

I'm talking about selling data so you can use it on your iPhone. For example "I need an extra 1GB of data this month. I shall buy the 1GB data add on and use it".
