simcore: Apparently, there are no performance issues from cabinetisation that Voda and Orcon have experienced, I wouldn't pretend to understand the technical aspect of those undertakings or designs, but that was well and truly tested & assured in the alpha trials, so I'm told.
Ragnor: Anyone know if they are doing sub loop unbundling aka putting gear in cabinets?
Because I suspect another thing against this plan is that if you're connected to a cabinet you'll get the same mid span injection signal problems that Orcon+ and Vodafone Red users have.
Olof Olsson - my views are my own.
Ragnor:
Loads of people have had a lot of trouble (slow sync speeds, unstable connections) on Orcon+ and Vodafone Red when their area has been cabineted, there are tons of threads on Geek Zone alone where the resolution was get off the LLU plan back on to Telecom Wholesale once your area gets cabineted.
I've got $5 that says it will be the same for Telstra LLU customers. Happy to be proved wrong but it seems quite likely since both Vodafone and Orcon users on LLU gear are having these problems.

LennonNZ: The question which was asked is when someone gets cabetinsed after they are on LLU with TelstraClear, will TelstraClear move the person back to Telecom Wholesale service automaticlly?
Olof Olsson - my views are my own.
DjShadow: Will exchanges not based in cities likely get unbundled at anytime?
Olof Olsson - my views are my own.
Behodar: I'm also interested in DjShadow's point. Some of the exchanges listed above seem to serve fewer customers than some larger towns. I'm wondering how TelstraClear decided which to unbundle.
I believe that some exchanges are "full" and Telecom won't connect any new customers. I would've thought that it'd be in TCL's interest to unbundle these as if Telecom won't connect a customer, then it's pretty much a guaranteed customer win for TCL.
Olof Olsson - my views are my own.
sbiddle: Just a quick question olof - can you confirm where voice on these new plans is still Telecom PSTN or do you have your own linecards for this?
Olof Olsson - my views are my own.
Ragnor: Thanks for taking the time to answer Olof.
It's good to hear you have a plan for customers where the area/line gets a cabinet installed after they are on the UCLL service.
Can you comment on the rationale behind the structure of the current data pack system? It really doesn't seem logical with the larger data packs.
If you happen to finish the month on say 51GB and you're using 25GB packs, another 25GB pack would be automatically added so you would end up paying for 3x 25GB (75GB) despite only using 51GB.
If there some reason why the billing system can't calculate when a user ends the month on 51GB to be 2x 25GB pack and 1x 3GB pack?

Ragnor: The products are structured the way they are "by design" and not due to systems limitations.
