cokemaster: I wouldn't recommend any ringtones from operators portals unless you are really needy of them. They are extremely expensive (in my opinion).

I'm sure most people here on geekzone just download them and bluetooth/cable/ir/mms/email etc etc etc them to their phones.

MP3 ringtones when i am using a capable phone, otherwise i do use the operator portal (for say, my 7400), otherwise i have to buy a $30 cable and stuff around just to get two or three ringtones.

If you want lots of tones - use cable/BT/i.r. but if its less than 5 or so a year - why bother?

I to got sick of slack ringtones so found a solution. I found a UK site http://www.cheapphones4all.co.uk who give you 20,000 ringtones for £20. I have had this for 3 months and still finding more tones I like!

Thats 51.448 NZ dollars right there. Assuming that its a wap site... you still have to pay for traffic as well.
Depending on your usage... it would probably make your operators ringtones cheaper.

There are some websites that offer FREE ringtones (some either via HTTP or WAP) but these are a rare. Most sites promoting 'free' ringtones are just a tool to get you to pay for ringtones and other sites are just useless.

But there are some goldmines out there.
Edit: paradoxsm is right. There is something fishy about that site. No doubt some suckers will be drawn in.

Who cares about the PSP or iPod I just wanted the ringtones!
If I ever got a PSP or iPod that would be awsome but I figure 20,000 ringtones was good enough for me!

Do you really think that they'd send out an IPod or PSP for 50 pounds?

Seen better value for ringtones - namely free at various sites. I'd actually recommend this site. Don't be fooled with the Z600 part though, you can select what SE phone you have and download over the 'net or download direct to mobile using WAP. Its free too.
