ATinyChipmunk: whats this about them bumping their plans? i haven't herd anything about this? im on the 20gb plan...

They bumped the 4Mb 10GB plan to 10Mb 10GB and the 10Mb 40GB plan to 10Mb 50GB....

It was annoying to spend another $25 a month to get the extra speed only to find I would have got it a month later. But now we've got used to the higher data cap and it is too hard to go back to 10GB.

I really want to stay with Telstra Clear but I'm starting to think of the halcyon days with Telecom last century.

Right now, I'm feeling the irony that I am waiting on the phone to TelstraClear customer service because my 10Mb 20GB LightSpeed plan has become a 4Mb plan after the tech arrived this afternoon to fix an intermittent problem with network disconnects and the modem occasionally rebooting. The modem was replaced but everything was crawling so I checked the download speed and found it is being limited to 4Mb.

Everytime I call TCL customer service, I wait at least 20 minutes to get through to talk to a technician. I used to call first thing in the morning but I'd give up at 20-30 minutes. But at least that's better than the 45 minutes I'm waiting in the evening.

Four calls (that I've waited to complete) in 6 weeks; two visits from technicians and we've still got problems.

Got through after 38 minutes.
Should be back to 10Mbps very soon.

Their wait times have been 20-40 minutes every time I've called them since becoming a customer 4 years ago. I'm not sure how they think it's acceptable.

But then I always call from my cell so they're paying to stuff me round (not vindictive as I don't have a landline).

The thing is, i have seen their call centre, my bro in law used to work there, its HUGE, they just get so many calls from people that have no idea what they are talking about to take ages.

Yes i went up to the 20gb cap for the extra speed, but now its on the 10gb plan i could go back, but now i use more than 10gb a month :S
