This is not the case. It's just that a lot of people here will want everyone to be clear about how technology works and clear misconceptions.

Joe_I_T: i still think GSM is Faster


Using this logic im feeling it would be a good move to upgrade my apache to a nokia 918 on 025.

And for what would seem to be the most important topic on this thread; i think you will find Speights beats the rest hands down in the performance stakes

I am now locking this thread, its usefulness has been dubious at the best of times.
Thanks to freitasm for posting a clear explanation of the network speeds.

recap: (slowest to fastest with the most non-controversial descriptions i can come up with)

GSM really dog slow (Voda 2g)
GPRS pretty slow (Voda 2.5g)
CDMA1X slowish (Telecom 2.5g)
WCDMA quick (Voda 3g)
CDMA EVDO quicker (Telecom 3G)
