Like when I got free SMS for 5 years on my 025.. it was *|* WONDERFUL *|*

I think I may still get free MMS, unless onebill give some freebees? I don't even have an MMS phone any longer or even use that number (main phone in on Amway for 6PM off peak) so it's of no use but I notice they appeared in " Call savings".

Ah yes, slag off the major corporate because you as an individual have been hard done by......boo hoo. I personally can say I used to be with telecom before switching to vodafone who have provided me with a better phone and you'll find this hard to believe but the customer service is much better as far as turn around times for resolution goes, but then again thats just my own personal experience. Yours is a rash generalisation like, "all geeks sit nude in front of their pc's on friday nights". You'd complain at a funeral and better still you'd want to tell everybody about it.

Excuse me, if we as consumers underpaid for a service (the opposite of whats happening)... what do you think would happen?

Would we be able to say "Sorry, I'm having a look at it.... wait a couple of months while I have a look"?
No.
They'd refer it to their credit department, probably freeze the account, possibly refer it to debt collectors.

Yet when the situation is reversed its fine?
Just because you haven't had problems, doesn't mean everyone has had the same experience.

I call your post a troll. And no, we aren't slagging off a 'major corporate'... we are just complaining that we are being overcharged (as in getting charges we shouldn't normally be getting).

Or for those SMS "Your account is late" I know some people receive, even though they have paid the account a day before via EFTPOS on a Post Shop (which generated a "Thank you" SMS in first place).

If the service is not good, people can - and should - complain. It's the only way a company will find out about its flaws. Otherwise companies will just keep moving, without changing anything.

I was actually replying to paradoxsm, sorry I didn't realise everybody who sits nude at their pc's on friday nights was going to reply. My apologies.
To slag an individual off for their work performance based on the one job you've logged with them and promoting that and naming them over the internet just didn't seem in the christmas spirit, and is poor form no matter what your game is, and thats what paradoxsm has done. Poor old shannon who ever she is doesn't get the option of hiding behind a name now does she.
A bit of decoram if you want to start throwing mud chaps, otherwise I'll be forced to mention the geekzone christmas party where people travelled from all over nz to attend. A mighty turn out of 15 it looked like according to the photos, 4 million kiwis ........15 geeks. Your lack of social skills in the email regarding Shannon and subsequent reply is why your not allowed out to speak to the real people of the world, just as well your good at the IT job.
Draw the curtains, lower your expectations of others who aren't so "geeky" in their knowledge, and be gratefull the computer was invented......what would you do otherwise???

You know what... This is really a troll.

What's the problem with you? Everyone can chip in here, if allowed. That's why we accept registrations. If you are not happy you do't have to post.

The way you write just makes you a little bit unwelcome here.

Seriously troll somewhere else, your sterotypes aren't going to work here. You pretty much contradict yourself when you claim that paradoxsm is "slagging" off at an individual and then go and do some slagging off yourself. Your poor attempt at blackmail ( "otherwise I'll be forced to mention the geekzone christmas party ") isn't going to work here either.

Perhaps you have never been on the recieving end of such an situation, perhaps your trolling, perhaps you might just by chance work for the 'major corporate... who knows (perhaps all of the above). But in any case you seem to have missed the fact that Paradoxsm and others have a geniune grievence - we have been overcharged. The first couple of times I tried emailing - I got a relatively unhelpful reply back too.

As for the "Shannon" tidbit - do you know how many Shannons there are in New Zealand? How many work for Vodafone? Do you know if its her real name? I'd probably say that there are more than one or two. Thus it would be pretty hard to actually pin what Paradoxsm said to an individual. I don't really see what the problem is.

To Mr "Valderama" aka mr "know it all", I am not stating this as a matter of one low spending customer (me) having a bleat session but a a matter of course vodafone are taking.. you should read the news and these forums before making statements. They have been making some stupid mistakes and being very tardy about it.

I have transferred my connections and spend to Telecom as a result (plus Telecom has SOME Kiwi ownership including my own shares) and far better outlying coverage which is really where my phone is used, Yes there are some downners but every service is different..

Very True about the "if they undercharged us"
They would be sending us to Baycorp and roll us though the coals to obtain every last dollar of the lost revenue.

Please LOCK this post, I think my point has been made and we should move onto something positive.

;-)
