Torrenting doesn't mean you're doing anything illegal!

For example it's often the best way to get the latest linux distro's.

mentalinc: Version 2.0.1 of utorrent is the culprit.

There was a discussion on here a few days ago with how to change the new settings that seem to be incorrectly determining the connection speeds.

Over the last 6 months or so I've noticed a major disruption to torrent speeds, so I've pretty much ditched torrent for rapidshare and have found that to be a lot faster when TCL Cable is actually working properly

Do you pay for rapidshare?

I've found the free file sharing sites increasingly pause / stop the download about 75% of the way through (file sizes vary between 60MB to 150MB - phone ROMs).

I gave up and went to bittorrent -> Transmission (linux) and Tixati (Windows and Linux). Tixati is really nice, BTW, but I can drive Transmission remotely from my android phone using Transdroid (search for / add / remove / pause torrents) , so I usually use Transmission.

I find the performance is best if you allow only encrypted clients and change ports frequently.

Afternoon,

Yes I do, I've found TCL's speeds pretty good in gerneral over the last 3-4 days.
Constant 1200KB/s from Rapidshare, still pretty average BT speeds both with torrentflux running on my server and utorrent running on my desktop.

And WOW hasn't youtube cashing made a massive difference!
