Any idea if Voda will be better?

if anyone does know they will not be posting it before launch anyway

Till they announce what extra data options are available, I would say slingshot is better since at least you dont have to worry about it crapping out after 2 weeks with slingshot.

"It slows down and you dont get charged anymore" stopped being a feature when internet became an essential service.

Vodafone need a total rework of all their plans IMO, if all they offer is naked on the red network for a few dollars less they will be laughed at all over.

You have a mobile, you make your calls on your mobile, so why are you paying for a landline you don’t need? Now Vodafone says you don’t have to. If you’ve got your mobile with Vodafone you can get your broadband at home without paying for the landline rental.

so this means you have to have your mobile account with voda too?

I'm a Vodafone ADSL customer currently on the 'Red Network' and in the 'Red Zone'. However my area got cabinetised about 12 days ago and today I think will be moved onto the cabinet. Unless Vodafone is putting any equipment in the cabinet then I presume that means I'll be moving off the Red Network.

What does that mean my options for Vodafone naked DSL will be? I'm currently on the 30gb plan...

You can double it once to 60 gigs, but its something you have to plan ahead if you will need or not.

To be honest the rolling over datablocks of sligshot or pay per gig of xnet are the only methods I would consider now.

Anything else is just as dumb as having to choose how many minutes you buy for your mobile before you use them. Which is the other stupid thing that vodafone do so I guess its a good fit with them.

Want 90 gigs? No can do with VF, just like they never could do more than 300 off peak mins when I was a customer.

On naked DSL outside the red network, you'll be paying $65 for 30GB providing you have a mobile plan with VF or your employer is paying for a VF mobile plan on your behalf.

I'm guessing that the $15 MySky HDi subsidy won't apply on these naked DSL plans since Sky like you to have a landline even if you always leave it disconnected from your set top box...
