Thanks greekus for details on this new website. Have bookmarked it for future viewing. Good to have these channels available. Also look forward to new videos on Ziln.

Ziln.co.nz have recently stopped transmitting some of their streaming channels. Most of these channels can now be found at www.ecasttv.co.nz which like www.ziln.co.nz is zero rated for TelstraClear Broadband customers. ZILN will continue to provide some local channels and Video on Demand content.

So, TelstraClear has made sure that www.ecasttv.co.nz is also unmetered so that people who enjoyed those channels on Ziln can still do so for free as TelstraClear customers.

Important to point out that neither of these companies are owned by TelstraClear, who has no control over what they do with their content offerings.

I'd noticed that TelstraClear does not appear to charge for www.ecasttv.co.nz

I suspect however that the resolution now of these channels is less than it was on Ziln but I may be wrong on this. The picture quality on full-screen seems less.

Still, having the channels free is better than none at all so I mustn't complain.

hi geek4 me
you can change the quality by using a higher bit rate
there is a way of doing this on the menu at the bottom of the player
we get 768kbps and it looks like HD !
