At 15Mbps you could do about 6GB in an hour, 60GB must be a fault.

It could have also been a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service).. just to throw that out there..

Hey there metal (sorry for late response), thats the 'overview' for month...when we look at the day's usage, you can pinpoint it to hourly usage, hence our being able to be fairly specific on traffic.

Just an update on my dispute...all has been resolved thanks to some very very helpful people in the geekzone! An actual reason behind the excessive spikes couldn't be found but as a result of my post here TCLs Tech team were chased up and once on the job were able to confirm that the volume of usage wasn't possible. So my thanks to all who offered sound advice (facebook and twitter for helpdesk support, who'd have thought it)...and in the case of a couple of geekzone's own, a whole lot more than a simple thanks! Merry Xmas all!!

Thanks for the thread - just developed my own problem with the infamous traffic usage spike. I was away on holiday at the time - wireless unplugged and no computer in the house was left on. That's $560 of data in two hours.

We will do - we've flagged the issue with them and they've said they'll get back to us next week.

Had to spend over an hour to get through to their faults line this morning. I'll never get that time back :(
