I know someone with an E63 from Voda. It doesnt have any branding on it physically. Not sure software wise but you could probably get a wallpaper if you wanted. hahaha.

Not many of their phones I've seen lately have Vodafone branding on it. My galaxy 3 didnt either

I must have been lucky with my Nokia 6121 then.

Thread bump - thinking about this phone again. How good is it at handling a weak signal (2G or 3G)? My 6121 does really well in this department. I've heard the Blackberry is the best at picking up a poor signal; how well does the E5-00 compare?

Yeh I sold it a couple of months ago. But it was REALLY good with coverage. Mind you I was always in the city/suburbs in Auckland so thats probably why. But it had extended coverage which was good. You can get a telecom version of this handset I'm pretty sure. But mine was 900/2100 3G

I tried a Blackberry pearl for a few weeks, it was 2G and signal was horrible. Really horrible. Might just be because I'm used to being on 3G but thats what I got out of using it. Good luck.

I ended up buying one today :) great phone, except there's a weird "quirk" which I haven't figured out how to fix (or if it's even possible?) The screen has so much real estate, yet the date, phone status (silent, loud, etc) are crammed up into one line in the top right corner, and the cell info display is up here too! Is there any way to space these things out? Maybe so it looks like this:

Sat 19/05/2012
Silent
(cellsite name)

Anyone fixed this before?

As far as I can remember, there was no way to change the layout of that, it was very locked down. It makes the screen look less crowded though anyway, I liked it that way but each to their own haha.

Working as designed I would say

D'oh :( oh well. On the plus side the battery life looks really good and it gets a good strong signal.

Help...can the Nokia E5 not receive photos directly?? I just got sent a photo, but rather than it displaying directly on my screen, as it did with my old Nokia 6121 it directs me to pxtworld.co.nz. I tested from a Telecom CDMA phone, an XT phone and a Vodafone phone and the result was the same for all three. Is there some service I need to setup on my new phone or something?
