No, it's not. It's like a mini cell site on your desk, with a 20m range (the small one) or 300m range (the enterprise model).
mattwnz: From what I can see from the promo page it creates a 3G base station for your mobile to use, and that transmits the data over your broadband connection/eg over your phone line. Certainly a clever idea and gets around not having to install more cell phone towers. But I don't see the advatnage over using a normal landline or voip calling, apart from if you are on a naked broadband connection, or you don't want multiple phones.
It's not a replacement for your fixed line, like VoIP could be. It's just a way to make sure your mobile phones get proper signal in your home or office, if you currently can't get a good one.
