I used to be based on the Shore (Birkenhead/Glenfield border - Eskdale road) and found that Voda performance was crap. Using an E71, showing full 3G, calls would drop while I was on them sometimes, and sometimes incoming would go straight to voicemail. Since moving south of the Bridge (East Tamaki to be precise) never had the issue again. Other people working with me at the same location on the shore had the same issues when at the office.

Maybe there is an issue with VF masts/transmitters in places on the shore.

I have an iPhone 3GS and I am also getting dropped calls and txt msgs. I have to reboot my handset and it works intermittently. For the past few weeks, it hasn't been working correctly.

I live in the Auckland CBD and I work right across from the Vodafone building.

Just reading a few more comments on this thread, it advises to change it to 2g? When I disable my 3G on my phone, I get nothing. No coverage at all. No calls, no texts. ON the top left hand corner it says "No service" If there is a way to activate this, let me know, as it drains my battery!

2G only worked for me when I roam in Australia.

Just to add my iphone is
- not jailbroken,
- Version 4.2.1

In CBD I get full bars on the Vodafone service, but texts still fail?
