Sorry Daniel,

Been a little bit slack with this, the issue isn't our's unfortunatly as the devices shipped to the retail market have nothing to do with WxC apart from the fact that we support them, I have been waiting to catch up with our local Cisco guys and discussed this wit them this morning, they are going to do a follow up for us and see what the options are here.

Regards
Phil Moore

Thanks for that, will look forward to their response.

I've heard some reports of other people having the same issue, but, it's hard for me to tell how widespread this issue is. It seems strange to me that I can't find lots of reports of this issue, which, I would have expected given the age of this router, perhaps other people don't check for open ports?

It's a bit of a shame that Cisco has been so quick to pass the buck back to the ISP for support in markets where the ISP was not involved and it was a retail product. I'm glad that I'm with a ISP that has such good service and a close releationship with Cisco, as, I'm sure that they will be more responsive to your questions than some lone user at the end of the world (from their perspective).

Thanks,
Daniel.

update: sorry about the delay been waiting on our friends at Cisco to get to the bottom of this, basically it's going to be a bit of a major these boxes should not have been sold through the channel they were, Cisco are looking at options to resolve this but it's complicated for a number of reasons which I won't go into here, so sorry don't have an answer yet but Cisco are looking at it.

Cool, thanks for that.

Happy for them to replace it with a SRP527 or a SRP521 if it's easier for them :-)

Thanks for following up with this, looking forward to what Cisco decide.

Daniel.
