I received a phone call today from Vodafone today, they were very apologetic and have decided to refund me for the MySky install and the cost of the RF modulator. I guess this goes to show, if you are not happy with the service you have been provided, don?t just accept it, let them know how you feel.
I had a few problems as well, had my own thread going there for a while.
I also had the same resolution though, a call from a VF csr who apologised and offered a small credit.
Nice to see that VF are listening to their customers, first this and now the call centre coming home, who knows is this the start of something beautiful?
The problem with that VF Sky partnership is, it isnt a real partnership. Whats happening is VF is like a sub sub contractor to Sky, all they do is sell off the package. Any problems you have to deal directly with Sky. This is where the problem is. Normally you would deal directly with VF to change or add channels etc but instead your dealing with someone you dont really have the contract with and in that case your not really looked after.
I would like to see something REALLY go wrong and Sky be taken to court over it as I could see Sky saying ' the contract was with VF, not us'
I have the same package. I never had a problem with it and I get ok speeds (for invercargill) and never had an issue with Sky apart from the Tech installing multiroom and leaving without authorising the card in the machine. It took a week of me yelling at various sky people to input the card number over the phone. They were trying to get thetech to come back and charge me $99 call out for his mistake. Ah ah i said, his eff up, your problem. I said if you dont do it right now, I will cancel everything and lay an offial complaint...then asked for the ladies name on the phone. It was sorted in two minutes.
I just like the fact I only have to pay one bill each month.
