TelstraClear's post mentions that the local server doesn't seem to like TCL customers - is it possible that they QoS/block non-APE traffic like some other content providers have?

I'm on Snap in Christchurch and getting the same issues, i think it is basically a issue with steam.

A few years ago i constantly maxed out my line speed on steam, now I am lucky to get much over 200KB/s.
