+1. Currently using a VPN back to work.

Appears to be the same DNS issue on Vodafone's transparent proxy as previously mentioned. I can access an international site via it's IP address directly, but not via hostname even if the hostname resolves locally.

Have contacted Vodafone on multiple occasions and they are not willing to remove me from the transparent proxy without a cost, unlike other ISPs. We will be changing ISPs, its not acceptable.

And whats that going to solve? Are you trying to say that they don't already know about it? If so, thats pretty incompetent.

AFAIK there's a transparent proxy on Vodafone now. For what's worth, last week Vodafone DNS was returning wrong responses for geekz1.com (our CDN), as if being served from outside New Zealand. Also having problems with not loading things correctly.

hio77: seems vodafone were onto this ... http://forum.vodafone.co.nz/topic/8945-restored-loss-of-fixed-broadband-services-nationwide/

How much is too much? Having it go down several times a week, several weeks in a row is a bit over the top for my liking.
