heavenlywild: Wish Vodafone would in some bigger data packs that a decent price.

100mb for an entire month is, well, taking a girl out on a date and saying, "That's all I can afford" after the entrees :P

i agree. this doesn't cut it when half the world is hooked on the iphone and half the world offers data of at least 500mb and not unusual for prepay $30 which includes 500mb and prepay $40 to include 1gb data.

having said that this is a small step in the right direction having had 3 steps forwards and 10 steps backwards from the recent downgrading of smart plans from 3gb to 150mb

The only people that ever actually signed up for the 3GB, were those who signed after VF announced it was going to change their plans. (Which means they still have 3GB)
Prior to that the 3GB was never a stated part of any package. (it was simply a limited-time-upgrade, like the current 1GB offer)

Is the official Vodafone troll not "official" enough?

Hopefully they add the best mate onto the on account Smart Plans or extend the extra 1gb, if not the prepaid plans are looking really good

i read that VF wants to respond http://www.stuff.co.nz/business/money/5941472/Vodafone-promises-better-deals-after-customer-losses

they really should listen to the 'people', who clearly need a bit more data. a miserly mb for $25 is fine, but for $35 and $45 they should give about 200-250mb for $35 and 300-500mg for $45 (i am not comparing Oz who offers between 500-2000mb for this price range of prepay). yeah i guess i overlooked the bestmate bit but hey, i am pretty sure my comments are somewhat representative of 'the people' at least on geekzone.

but please, let me say, these plans are toward the right direction ... i'd sign up for $25 straightaway if i were back today

thelongwayround: can't find any info on this as would be keen to change my prepay number to one of the options you listed.

Login to your prepay account online and select change plan

Please excuse my ignorance, but I can't find a 'change plan' option when I go in to my account online.  I'm on Supa-Prepay if that makes a difference.  While trying not to sound like a whiny 5 year old "how much longer" before something official is posted?

Here in Oz, on Vodafone for $30 I get 500mb data, unlimited texts within Oz, free access to Facebook, Twitter etc (Even via the iPhone apps) and $450 of 'credit' to use on whatever I like.

If I went on a plan, for $45 a month I could get 1.5GB of data, unlimited calls to any landlines or mobiles within Oz and unlimited texts as well

err sorry slightly off topic ... i have one big issue with VFAU (well it could be my samsung galaxy s2???) - speedtest gives 3+Mbps/1Mbps result, but actual connection is hopeless. slow, laggy, disconnection with site you're trying to load, and inside buildings you might as well no even try. useless 3g on my device
