Privacy has 2 sides.. Would Sky give the OP permission to make the recording public?

I wouldn't go as far as making it public, but the OP has all rights to access it to clear an error on anything related to his person or dealings.

Well, with Sky dragging their feet over the whole thing, Vodafone today came to the party and reversed the fee. That's good customer service in my books. It's nice to see VF working to shed their old image.

Thanks for the update and at least one side came to the party

freitasm: Privacy Act? If you are involved, and it is your recording they have to release it to you.

The Privacy Act is the single most misunderstood statute and is frequently a tool of abuse for people who want to muck customers around. In this case, VF has clearly come to the party and Sky has been shown up to be total idiots, if the OP has told us the whole story.

In short, congrats VF and booho to Sky.

The whole point of my request to hear the conversation was to check my recollection. If the recording clearly showed that Sky were right I would have happily paid up.
