I think karma's coming to get me - throughout the last few years of voda cable I've been getting full 130/10 with 5-10ms ping .... now that everyone else seems to have come right my pings are fluctuating wildly around the 100ms mark...  speeds still fine... just the latency that's killing me... any suggestions? Have logged a ticket with support desk. Based in Woodridge, Wellington.

What ping on average does everyone else get to the local voda gateway?

Have you tried power cycling your modem?

Yeah.... and everything else - direct connected, to my surprise the support guy even asked me to unplug and replug the coax to the modem.

Can anyone else stream 4K from Youtube without buffering? Or 2.7K? or 1080p?

My speedtest.net says I'm getting 128/10... just my ping is real average.

I am located in Wellington. Last night my IP address changed from static to dhcp. Having the static IP was good but it's not too much of a problem for me having a dynamic address. I was a bit confused initially as the new IP address has me located in Auckland not Wellington where I actually live. Is that normal and expected?

Yep. So I was expecting it to change ages ago but it didn't until now. The only real surprise is the location though.

Yep - no connection in Woodridge Wellington either - modems connected, but no interwebs.... :-(

Apparently there is scheduled maintenance for over night, but not peak time.... surely....

Hopefully it's because they are upgrading all our connections to 1Gbps each way for free.... haha... not that our CLNE can support it...
