sparkiwi: I have been following this thread for months as I was one of the ones getting 25mins loading time for a 5 min video from youtube - would play 5 secs and then would have to pause and do something elese for next half an hour. I tried to stay away from youtube but every now and then would get utterly frustrated and revist here to see if any progress was being made. It was unusable and I have tried Firefox, IE, Chrome and Avant with the same results.
I am happy to report that performance with Firefox has gome from Total Utter Hair Pulling Rubish to mildly bad with the help of http://www.sync-blog.com/sync/2009/08/how-to-change-firefox-settings-to-improve-youtube-performance.html
now I only get 20 or so short stutters in a 5 min youtube vid
Has anyone who is getting the worst performance and has firefox tried this with what results?

uber: does your dns support anycast?
uber: wiki says that google dns runs anycast
eXDee: It'd be nice to have a logical explanation of how its actually possible for it to be this bad without any kind of interference on their part. It simply does not make sense to me that something can be this bad...
