hio77: glad to see progress being made here, keep it up :)Sorry about the hassle - that FRE should be cleared before COB today hopefully. Now that you have your new router, I strongly suspect it may solve your issue but some future feedback once you've spent some quality time with it would be great.
@vodafone reps, sorry my notes on when it happens next hasnt come, hard to test the dns with a cut phoneline (why you need to dig that deep for a footpath idk..)
anyway on the upside my draytek arrived a few days ago so i can see if the issue doesnt exist there ;)

Btw, is your Draytek a residential gateway or is it business-class?

mikenz86: Any more news on this issue. I have run into it myself, used to be 2-3 second breaks and then continue, so was not really an issue. In the last cwhen the rouple of weeks have had to reset the router multiple times a day. Have had the line filters replaced and a new Vodafone router, lasted 4 hours and 15 minutes before the DNS stopped working. Don't think I can try another router manufacturer as we are also running a SureSignal (femtocell) because of horrible mobile reception where we are.....

mikenz86: Thanks for that info, haven't had much to do with the SureSignal devices, so that is really handy to know. I got off the phone from VF support about 25 minutes ago and I am going to set a DNS manually on the machines, and they gave me the following DNS addresses to use (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).
Will see how we go with the alternative DNS servers.

paulspain: Thanks for the update. Disappointing news considering this product has been around for a number of years now.
