The credit has been used cause a feature that uses packet data has been turned on! which costs

Thats like leaving a heater on all day and going out and ringing the power company and asking why power was used

I've rung them up and they couldn't really see anything, but they said to ring back in about 2 hours just so that the system can update and then hopefully they can tell me what my money went to.

Strange if the credits been removed from your prepay account that means its charged and should be viewable unless there is a outage

It has been charged for packet data as Johnr has said. Even if the CSR is unable to see it straight away It is still taken off your account once the connection is closed and from what you and johnr have discussed it is definetly your email client polling for messages.

Back to the heater scenario - if you plug it on, and dont realise its on, because you didnt read the manual, or just plain never knew about an extra feature that drew power, you are still liable for the power cost incurred.

Yes it does 'suck', but its up to a customer to control their usage.

As cranz/john say, no point tying up cust services - you know where the data went now.

Oh ok and about best mates:

I rung up Vodafone and they told me that I wasn't on bestmates although I had already signed up and took the money out of my account and so she told me that she will credit me for the texts I sent him which was good and she put his number on their system for my bestmate.

I'm definitely on bestmate as I have texted addon info to 756 and it sent me a text back and it only had about the $10.00 text.
