All those who haven't received the speed bump as promised, gather up your pitchforks - today we march on to the Telstraclear offices.

I did a speedtest on my connection yesterday and it's gone up - but I'm only getting around 6500 using both the TCL speedtest and speedtest.net and considerring the tracert of the TCL speedtest I would be expecting to see the very maximum that the connection will allow (and therefore not a real world figure).

No speed upgrade for me yet.  Not good in my opinion by setting an expectation and then not delivering.

Mine seems to have been upgraded, i'm in Johnsonville, Wellington.

Downloading from some well seeded torrents and a few websites I managed to get 7Mbps briefly, and can get 5Mbps consistently.

Due to some technical difficulties,  some customers have not received the free speed increases as yet.  Many have, however some will receive these as we systematically work through this issue.  We apologise to those customers who have not yet enjoyed the benefits of faster broadband, and hope that those who have, are making the most of your faster speeds.  We'll advise when the free speed upgrade has been rolled out to all customers.

I think I might give TCL a call, I've been slowed down! [However, my traffic meter hasn't logged anything for nearly two days now...]

Edit: It just gets worse. :-(

Is this 10Mbps via adsl or cable, I would love to have speeds like that but where I am there are only telecom exchanges and as I am only 1 block from the exchange I am lucky enough to get a connection at 7.2Mbps with a usable average download speed of 5.5mbs on a ADSL line

My upgrade to 4Mb kicked in at 9:30pm (Wadestown). Response has been patchy at times, but two speedtests in the past half hour have shown 4.1Mb and 4.4Mb.

Thank you TelstraClear, I have now received my free 10Mbps upgrade.

I'm now getting around 8Mbps on speedtest.net but haven't tried any downloads yet.
