I see that there only appears to be one plan available for residential now, the Fusion Unlimited one. We're currently on Fusion 40 for $69 and rarely go over 25 GB so I don't think it's worth changing plans, although I would like to replace our Xnet-certified WAG54GPv2 hardware (it's frustrating having the landline cut out when downloading software or streaming video).

Is the new Fusion plan really the only option now? Are any other Fusion 40 users considering their options?

WXC will provide the best available broadband access (ADSL, VDSL, UFB) at the same monthly price

If a better broadband access speed becomes available to you during your contract, you will be eligible to be upgraded to this new service at the same monthly price

Our Speed Upgrade Promise applies to Fusion Unlimited variants only
Access availability is limited to the types that WXC are providing in your area
Your modem/router is already future proofed and will work with ADSL, VDSL and UFB
There may be installation or other one off charges that are payable by you on transfer
For any Speed Upgrade a new contract term applies

Does this sound just a little dodgy to anyone else?

You get a 'free' speed upgrade, but the 24 Month ticker resets?

...and future proofed so long as you don't have or intend to get a bunch of wireless-ac capable devices!
