So I decided to do a whole bunch of stuff, ran diagnostics, interference checks etc which were all OK except for diabolical speed I decided what the heck.
I relocated my Router replacing the Netcomm with an Apple Airport Extreme, replaced the Ethernet cables with new Cat6, changed the channel, rebooted everything and my speeds are now  94.7mbps download and 10.03mbps upload.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

I had nothing but trouble with the wireless speeds on the Vodafone supplied Netcomm router. Ended up replacing it with a dlink tower jobbie (the bright red version showed up by accident from PB tech and the helpful guys there even let me have it for a discount). The netcomm is currently serving as a wired-only switch. The new dlink's been pretty good since, though I am missing DDWRT on my old router.

Great news KiwiNZ, it's a real pain when you get issues like that.

Guys the only reason I bought up changing the router is that I had a bad one prior to the Asus that lost Wifi 5 or 6 times a day and resulted in getting grief from the family, so investing in a good dual band router both 2.4 and 5 GHz has made life Soo much better. With Tv's Tablets Phones Game Consoles etc all being Wifi based they are becoming the hub of home network.

thing is for a TV, console etc WiFi shouldn't be the way you connect them as you are only adding to the wifi issues you end up having. Ethernet should be what you are connecting them with.

WiFi is a complementary solution

Nope just a rubbish router. As for ethernet being primary I have no complaints for pc's or game consoles but not for phone tablets or notebooks etc wireless ac or n is plenty fast enough and with a good quality dual band router I haven't had any congestion issues.

This is 2015 embrace the future cut the cord :)

I have been running on wired for my TV, Xboxone, DVD Player and WiFi for my Laptops and PC'cs for a few years without issue until now and that is is in a Lockwood Home. I have been able to stream HiDef without issue and with Internet  speeds at  plan levels
until this weekend

good luck with that, there is no need to cut the cord if you can easily run a cable to it.

nothing beats a wired network for speed and performance.

Agreed, but wireless now is a good option if wired is not possible, it would cost a fortune to run Ethernet to all points in my home. But this is a bit of a diversion

Sorry for confusion which component did you reboot, or did you reboot everything. The reason is that diagnosing these kind of issues is a bit like slicing and dicing the symptoms is it always the router or always the modem, times of day where you stressing the units high throughput etc.
