I totally concur! I love Nokia's user-friendly menus and set-up pages. I love Microsoft's functions.

Palm? Oh boy... horribe OS. Also, the Treo 650 only has... 8mb of useable memory, hahaha what a joke for a PDA phone.

Motorola has phones with very nice designs nowadays BUT very pre-historic OS. Have you tried the V1050 (3G Vodafone handset)? This is how the contact list looks like:

John Smith 09 777 7777 (home)
John Smith 021 888 8888 (mobile)
Anna Bloggs 09 281 1818 (home)
Anna Bloggs 021 181 1111 (mobile)

Yep, you cannot store more than one number under each name. Hahahahaha... give me a break Motorola... honestly!

What? People has more than one method of contacting them? I thought one person is only allowed with one number or email or fax or address or whatever!!!

LOL

Yeah, I can't stand the one number per name method, I don't use SIM for contact anymore... i rely on Outlook for managing my contacts etc. :-D

chiefie: cool. looks like Nokia actually does use Activesync license that they got from MS. mmm good approach.
Not really - they have licensed the Exchange ActiveSync protocol, not the Microsoft Outlook storage protocol.

Hi guys,

I have used the N90 for 2 weeks now and it definitely does everything it says very well!

Don't believe those reviews on the net showing N90 taking blurry photos - they just haven't taken the pictures properly. You first need to press the button half-way down to focus, then press it right down to take the picture.

Saving pictures is a dream - don't have to wait forever like Sharp phones.

MP3 player - great stereo sound!

Video - amazing for a mobile phone. Very clear and the sound is terrific!

What I most enjoy about this phone is how easy it is to sync your phone with your computer and Outlook. Great software!

The only thing that annoys me is, hahaha, the cap that covers the part where the charger goes in. The whole cap comes-off, so it can get lost quite easily as you charge your phone. It's also where you plug in your stereo headset.

_____ N91_____

Regarding N91, it's definitely not coming out at the end of this year. It's been officially announced by Nokia that it's coming out Q1 2006 due to software issues. Very typical of Nokia to delay everything!

Hi Mike,

Yes, MobileBurn's review of the N90 is up and it's quite well done.

The only thing I would disagree with the reviewer is his comment right at the end about the software being unstable.

If you have a N90 with firmware dated at the END of July 2005, the software is very stable.

If you have a N90 with firmware dated at the BEGINNING of July 2005, the software is NOT stable.

I wonder if MobileBurn used an older firmware?

By the way, WARNING for those who are going to buy this phone from Parallel Imported - DON'T! Their phones have the older firmware.

The bad thing about Parallel Imported having heaps of stock is that ALL are with the old firmware. It's better to order it and wait for 3 days from another shop - that ensures that your phone's firmware is not dated.

From what I've read the issue appears to be their recent deal with MS to support Windows Media Player, the delay is apparently so sort out some DRM issues.

Hey Heavenly_Wild, can you please post some review or screen shot of the Nokia PC suite 6.6 and MS Outlook working?

Like create a fake contact in outlook with all the possible fields filled in, and sync with your n90. then in n90. create another contact, again with all its field filled in and sync with Outlook and see if it maps well with Outlook's fields?

so for name on outlook do "name", first name etc... and email 1 do email1, or home phone do home, or pager do pager etc...

then in nokia's do the similar too...

I would like to see the field mapping is better than previous PC suite 6.6

(and.. if this has been improved a lot! i might be looking at n70 or n90 and get hp hx4700WM5 and there i go, 3G phone + VGA PDA! awesome!) hehe

oh by the way. i read the review from mobileburn about n90... it said that it doesn't have vibration mode... can someone please confirm this?

i normally use vibration in normal profile, meeting profile, and loud/outdoor profile. and sometimes, silent with vibration option too. and i like vibration for both incoming call, sms, mms, and other alert (for example, MSN msg)
