pwner: all the credit rating decisions are done by Veda, so i doubt 2degrees are rejecting you per se. They get information saying that you don't pass the required threshold from Veda. If you are worried about why you should talk to them, i think they are required to provide credit information to you about yourself for free or some minimal fee to cover costs.
I am not trying to drag this thread off topic, or trying to bang on or soapbox, I made an on topic comment which some people are taking off, and then I reply to clear up the issue. This issue has now been followed through to completion really, as your posing some unknowns, I'm saying all those are answered.
I have my latest Veda credit file here, along with previous copies. There is no adverse information on it. 2 Degrees initially said I had an outstanding credit issue and I needed to contact Veda, which to me either meant fraud or mistake, as there was no possibility of this being correct. Upon contacting Veda they said there is no issue with your credit. Then I contacted 2 Degrees, told them there was no issue with Veda, and they then explained what I detailed above, about THEIR demographic rating system of 94 points, and I did not have sufficient points to sign up.
I have found Veda almost impossible to deal with, and there ARE mistakes on my credit file, such as an incorrect address (stayed there, but I wouldn't consider it living there - its only there as I put it as a mailing address for Telecom), incorrect time at address (for example it states my 2nd last place I lived there 2 years, but in fact I lived there for 22 years) and many double ups of inquiries (x3), along with 2 unauthorised inquiries, i.e. applications that I did not make. I'm sure even though those things are minor, they will be detrimental to the overall score card.
