timbosan:

johnr is right. Yesterday I went into a Vodafone store about getting my 9300 upgraded to the latest ROM version.  After finding someone who knew what I was talking about (which is always a challange in those types of store) I was told that if it was a NZ model and under warrenty, it would be free, but as mine was imported it would cost $50 ish just to SENT it to MFR for when to do it.  There was no mention of the MFR charges, and I was told to ring them directly.

This is exactly the same response I received from another Vodafone store about 6 months ago in regards to my imported 6600, so I guess at least their consistant ;-)

Also, from what I understand the process of flashing can take some time, especially with the new phones are they have larger ROMs etc.  When I did my XDA myself about a year ago it took about 40 minutes for the whole process, including backup and restore of data.

About time someone with some brains steped in!!! They have a min fee of $48.90 and thats just for them to have a look at it, they charge for the firmware on top of that.

Thanks

Hey, You can go to MFR and have your handset flashed to the latest version providing that you have its warranty papers (reciept)
If you arnt going to have this dont under warranty then i recomend taking it into MFR as the vodafone store might want a kick out of it when it comes back.

THanks
