Hi ipsi, the content server only started pre-loading last week and it needs to load 6TB being fully populated. It is likely that your content is not yet fully available.

The server goes live while this happens, ideally we would have it only go live once it's completed. There's no harm in you downloadin now if you're using Steamwatch, but it's just unlikely all the content you're after will be available.

Yeah, fair enough. I've now started getting decent speeds on Portal 2 - downloading at up to 1.5MiB/s, which is awesome. I'll have to double-check when I get home to see how much of the update it's managed to download, then compare that with the total usage for the day to make sure SteamWatch is, in fact, working :)

I'd suggest something like NetLimiter or TCPView to check that.

I tried Steamwatch yesterday and it was not preventing other IP's. Other's have reported it works fine, it may be a case of trying a few options for limiting if that's your absolute goal.

As an example, from the TCL server it was delivering content at 850KB/s and 100KB/s from an Internode server.

Its great that its integrated into the unmetered service!

My firewall has blocked all other IPs to that port by using "Steam Manager". It just configures your firewall so it doesnt need to run all the time.

Cyris: All I can say is that, if TelstraClear get free data traffic towards Steam I will be signing up to them without hesitation.

So have you switched over to true 'naked' broadband?

What is the IP address of the TelstraClear Steam server, so I can add it to Frey's Filter?
Is it 203.167.129.4 ?

Yes. Working for me with SteamWatch, maxing out 15mbps. Just gotta hope it doesn't incorrectly count against my cap.

Edit: Wow, Steam really doesn't like only having only one content server to download from. Download(s) are periodically slowing right down or even halting, and I can see with Process Monitor that when this happens, Steam is trying to download off other content servers instead of TelstraClear's. Annoyingly, it actually seems to be sustaining an average of around 75KB/s just from hopping between different servers, until it finally gives up (after about 2 minutes) and uses TelstraClear's again. Two minutes later, rinse and repeat.

Can't complain:

This is about 36.8 Mbps. Disclaimer: I have a 100 Mbps connection.

I have a list of reported games but as I can't confirm some of them myself without owning I'm kinda cautious.

It appears that all of the Valve games are definitely available.

What are you trying to get?

What about game demos? WH40k Space Marine does not appear to be downloading (apart from what sneaks past SteamGuard).
