In this case I would make the inference that it is Vodafone that has decreased the subsidy and in turn increased the cost of getting an iPhone on-contract.
iPhone subsudies were in some cases significantly higher than any other handset.
Do you want a cheaper up front cost and monthy plan costs that are higher than other VF users may pay (so the subsidy cost can be recovered), or a subsidy and plan price that is the same as other VF users may pay?
