If I change to Prepay Smart do I get any bonus mins for topping up? This will ultimately affect me decision to change from Supa Prepay. Please could someone confirm.

Oh right. I noticed that they still allow you to use up any remaining mins left over from Supa prepay, Would have thought they would get lost.

So from what I can tell this is its own new category of prepay account. And that none of the addons for either supa-Prepay or 'new smart plans' referred to on the VF site will be available on it? Or is it considered a New Smart Plan? I am thinking particularly of data topups and the 'Family' package (3 on prepay 1 on account), or extra 'best mates'?

So even if the account was just one of the prepay ones in the family not the on account one then that isn't going to work? Bit of a shame really as I was beginning to think this was going to be the ideal plan for me.  However I still congratulate VF for coming up with them.

I'd consider getting this IF it had more Data, for myself I need a minimum of 250MB a month with me using my smartphone slightly. Basic emails etc..

It's a pitty the data is so low, for that price I might as well go with a contract and get 1GB free for 6 months, but then again... maybe that's their plan?

I barely call and barely text, but I'm ALWAYS using the data. Especially on Skype for work communication.

Give me:

up to 50 minutes to NZ mobiles & landlines, 500 TXTs to NZ mobiles and 250MB of data a month for $25-30

and we've got a deal.

I'm a casual and light data user

Just a little bit and not every day

I'm thinking 2degrees is my best option yeah?

It's 50c a MB rather than the $1 a day Vodafone continues to charge

Also cheaper calls and txts

Any thoughts?

Well it entirely depends what you mean by ‘'just a little bit'

2Degrees is 50c/MB but Vodafone is $1 for practically any usage between 0 and 10MB in a day (and so is Telecom).  So if you use more than 1MB but less than 10MB in a day, then voda/telecom is cheaper.  If you use less than 1MB per day then 2Degrees is cheaper.

If you use more than about 10MB per month but spread over several days then probably a 50MB add-on is better which are about 5/6 bucks. (and all three carriers have very similar offers here)

I see what you mean

It's all about my gmail

Haven't worked out the data I use but would just be checking gmail 1-3 times a day and receiving no more than 5-6 emails

A $1 a day doesn't seem like the best option

So might be best to go to 2degrees anyways then I have the option of 50c a MB v $6 a month and cheaper calls and txts
