It is called marketing and seems to work, since they are getting you frustrated with your ISP while they are unable to actually provide you with the service
It's nothing more frustrating for me at the moment than Xnet price.
+1. They are burglars.
So you know the wholesale Chorus pricing to make that comment? I can assure you it's not the same as a UBA copper circuit.
As a consumer, all I care about is the retail price point.
sbiddle:
And the problem here is WxC aren't the right people to target. They're delivering a retail service using a cost plus pricing model. You really need to be asking Chorus, CFH or even the Communications Minister why Chrous are delivering a wholesale product at the pricepoint they are, and when these areas will be incorporated into the UFB model.
Laying the blame here solely with WxC is a bit like blaming your dairy for high milk prices. Sure they're making a margin, but it's a cost plus pricing model and there are wholesale costs for a product that a provider (or dairy) simply isn't going to sell products under unless they love losing money.
You can never have enough Volvos!

Ham: Come on World Exchange. I'm still paying almost twice what I'd be paying if I was able to choose another supplier. How long is it going to take to sort this ridiculous pricing out?
