Hi everyone,

You know how with Supa Prepay plan you can ring another 021 number during weekends and during off-peak times during the weekdays for only $2 for 2 hours from your Vodafone mobile?

Well, I rang a friend on 021 last night (Saturday night, 9pm) and was charged over $80 for the call.  My friend was not roaming and I did everything by the book.

I tried ringing Vodafone this morning but their call centre is "overloaded", according to their voice message.

Everything else - TEXT2000. Bestmate etc are working well for me.

Please start another topic for Supa Prepay and the $2 call problem. This will make it easier for people to track different problems.

Would not matter if the person was roaming anyway you are still charged the standard rate to call a vodafone number  the person roaming pays the international cost to pick up the call

IF N E ONE HAS BEEN CHARGED FOR THE TALK 2 HOURS FROM over the weekend should be credited back on Thursday 16th

As this is a current issue that i was advised by customer services.

heya I wasn't too sure if I should make another thread for this question because its still about bestmate although its also including TXT 2000 so heres my question:

This may sound like a stupid question but I am visiting Australia and I am wanting to know if you can use your bestmate when your in Australia or do you have to pay however much it is you have to pay which is on the Vodafone website, it didn't say anything about bestmate on there or anything so I aint too sure.

Aye?? it happened to me again;

You know how money was going out of my account? well it happened yet again and I don't know where it had gone. I only downloaded 3 songs at $1.99 each and one video at $3.50 or however much and switched my bestmate and made not many texts to Telecom mobiles and that was it (please note that I had only topped up my phone like 3-4 days ago).

I checked to make sure that the e-mail client was checking my e-mails or whatever it was and it's switched to off and I don't know what is going on.

Also I can't text ANYONE who is on Vodafone thats not bestmate, I can text my bestmate but when I text anyone else who is on Vodafone it says that I can't send any messages because I need to top up my account. What is going on?

Ask Vodafone please about the TXT issue

Also if you use your email client to check Email and there is no email you will still be charged 10 cents for each check as the phone is still moving traffic of sending your user name and PW

patrickstarr, I agree with johnr. You should now contact Vodafone and ask this to be investigated further. We have already found out that not many people here in the forums have this problem, so it leaves us with a couple of options: problem on your account setup, or problem on your handset.

Contact Vodafone directly to arrange for further investigation.

Hey everyone;

I have finally contacted them and it turns out that I lost all my money because I was browsing Vodafone live?. The last time they told us browsing through Vodafone live was free so did they just decide to charge people to browse through Vodafone live without telling us?. If so then why couldn't they have told us through the 777 number.

Oh yeah and the reason why I can't text any other vodafone member is because I owe money for browsing on Vodafone Live?

I think you have been confused by someone..
It is still free to browse Vodafone Live. You will only be charged if you agree to purchase content and you will always be asked first.
Browsing OUTSIDE of the Vodafone Live WAP site (general WAP/GPRS) will be charged for - on prepay, 10c/10kb of data.

Sometimes the GPRS connection is called "Vodafone Live" as it is easier for the public..

You will have been charged for external WAP/GPRS access, such as polling for emails, accessing other WAP sites, or being sent content from subscriptions (such as 4747 - these use WAP to send content to the phone)
