Yes a lot higher. Was just wondering why not as fast as another post. Certainly getting full strength on the phone signal and am about 500m from where I think the site is .

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Chances are its just a lack of backhaul.

Whilst all VF 3G sites are HSDPA capable only some have enough back haul to perform at full HSDPA speeds (currently 3.6mbps from memory) Otherwise the maximum they can perform at is 1.8mbps which is fairly close to what you got. :)

Ok, I cant imagine there are too many other users on it up here yet Smile so guess its the backhaul problem.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Yeah it's been off around these parts for a few days but back on again now.

This just now from a more rural site (so I assume less backhaul) than my previous test

Still much more pleasing than GPRS :-)

Back on here (thanks again) and pretty steady at 1400. Now if only I could talk VF into upping the backhaul to give me 3.5 Innocent

Some phones will only work to 1.8Mbps, so that could be the issue too. I couldn't find the specs detailing the max speed for the 6121, so can't confirm if this is applicable here. Guess will have to wait and see what the performance will be like when the data cards are released.

posts done by scott palmer showing the speed reaching 2.7 mbps on the downlink are using the nokia 6121 phone as modem.

Hmmm, today have made two voice calls on the 900 network, in each instance my phone dropped to the 2G network for the duration of the call, upshifting to 3G after the call was terminated. Anyone else?
