Linux:

Cause the staff answering the emails don't work on the Sure Signal platfrom and don't know the finer complex details of it or they would be Techs / Engineers working on it

Linux

Ok, fair enough then they should pass the question to someone who does know the answer. If they have insufficient knowledge to even know that they don't know...then they shouldn't be on a help desk

@mdooher it's not that simple, Think if the Techs / Engineers had to answer emails all day about a service/s and what they ' could be capable of '

I understand where you are coming from but  it's not that simple

Thanks I appreciate having the answer.

I know what you mean re: resources. Tech's are to fix stuff not handle customer service. They could have just mentioned the questions weren't able to be answered/resolved due to technicians not being available for customer service queries and left it at that. It would have directly answered my inquiry. Rather they gave no reason as to why my questions could not be answered, which came across like hit reply before reading the actual questions. I already knew it would work on Vodafone broadband, and with Vodafone mobile phones, that wasn't my question.

Anyways, looking forward to playing with one of these and find out what happens when I throttle traffic to it during a voice call and have another phone trying to download something.

But most of all good cell service wherever I can get good broadband.

A bit late to the party on this topic.  I purchased a second hand sure signal (v2) and was about to organise Vodafone broadband but noticed this thread.  Do you know if you can use it via Ultimate Broadband ie Huawei box?

I should note I have plugged the box in but only the power light stays solid.  The other two lights blink on and off.

Hello everyone. After extensive testing (wandering next door to use the neighbors 2degrees fixed broadband connection) I can confirm that the SureSignal connected fine through the 2degrees broadband and we could use it to make phone calls and browse the internet. This indicates it is not locked to Vodafone fixed broadband.

Cheers, Matt.

I haven't been able to get one working on Ultimate Broadband RBI yet. Had one working on a Vodafone RBI a while ago, but maybe Vodafone have now blocked them on RBI? Or maybe it's not open to all NZ yet??

First registration can take ages. Leave it plugged in overnight and see what happens. I thought mine was broken the first time I plugged it in.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Nope not blocked. Saw a Suresignal being used in rural Wellington off a 4G RBI modem in the past few weeks.

There must have been a rush on them (Sure Signal V3s) recently, they went from out of stock to "Item no longer available". Doesn't appear to be a replacement model available yet
