I stand corrected for the pre-paid mobile plans. So add Spark the the list of sneaky telco's extorting an extra payment per year from their clients. You mention that you're with 2 Degrees - are they still monthly, or 28 days.

Appears that 2 Degrees is the telco for the moment.
Why do all these large outfits always find a way to sneakily ratchet pricing. They reduce package sizes, reduce nett weights, increase payment cycle times etc.
28 days, I guess, is not difficult to set up as an auto payment, but confusing to the client, trying to calculate when the next top up will be due. Why not just increase the price, which is what every other
business does, on the 1st April every year.

28 days is 4 weekly, meaning if you buy your plan today (Wednesday) it will renew on Wednesday 4 weeks from now. It's handy in some ways like lining up with pay days.

Doesn't seem to simple to me.
Linux,
Yep, an underhanded way by devious people to increase revenue. Find an honest provider - if there is one.

I've taken your lead and moved to 2 Degrees.
Vodafone, in their arrogance, notified me today with the following.
Awesome! You're now on My Flex Prepay with 1GB, 200mins and unlimited TXTS for just $18 every 28 days, blah, blah, blah. Enjoy.
No offers, no warnings.
I don't appreciate your arrogance Vodafone, I don't want a 28 day prepay, and I now don't want you - good riddance.
I would recommend to all that they find a new provider, and that 2 Degrees would appear to fill that need.
rugrat: Heard Vodafone advert for flex one on radio today and looks like they've gone to 28 days as well

Don't need a Warehouse phone. I've just moved my number across.
