I've fixed the issue with adding Call Notify criteria before an email address is saved. It will now save the email address automatically before it saves the criteria.

I agree! Although at present it's not really GNU/Linux support so much as Ubuntu / Debian support....can you guys please release the source please (as per the GPL).

Then I would be happy to maintain the package on the Arch User Repository.

I'm curious as to why you think that this application has been released under the GPL. We have made no mention of the license conditions. The fact that it runs on Linux (in fact it is written on Linux then ported to Windows and Mac) does not automatically mean that it is a GPL application. We have yet to determine what license this application will be released under.

Since you are using Arch (and use the term GNU/Linux) I expect that you are a competant Linux user, as Arch is not exactly an easy distro for a beginner to get into and is targeted at more experienced users. As such it should be trivial for you to get the source out of the deb using something like Alien or even deb2targz. This was also mentioned by Kerrin in an earlier post.

The VFX Manager is still in it's early stages of development and we have released it to Geekzone members to see what sort of response it gets and what issues may arise with the different platforms that we are supporting. As such, your comments are noted and we will make decisions on licensing and source code releases when we are closer to a general public release.

On re-reading the file now, can I assume you are referring to the packaging of the app as a deb file, rather than the app itself. If so, thanks for clearing this up, as there were no other copyright licenses included anywhere that I could find.

I'll give the above suggestions a whirl regarding extracting the app for use in non-Deb environments.

Very nice little app - thanks!

I've a request based on using the Mac version, it would be nice if the Logs were arranged in a table widget with the phone numbers and dates in separate columns, with column headers. That way we could resort the data by column.

Another request would be to be able to resize the Logs so that I can see more than just the last 4 numbers at a time. In order to do this without affecting the other tabs I'd suggest that the Log viewer be split out into its own window. Over time the Log viewer can then get more and more features such as filters, prices, length of call.

(If you do implement filters, when the filter is applied could you also include a line of text with the "Sum" of all the calls matching that filter. E.g. if I filter on 945 3452, then I want the Log to show all instances of that number in the Log viewer, and then under each of the movable panes for Placed/Received/Missed, where appropriate, a line of text with the number of calls matching the filter and the cumulative total of minutes and cost).

Last night I had an issue (which James already cleared up for me). The call log is of calls that are initiated, not of calls that get connected. I made 3x calls to the same number in South Africa, but each time there was no ring tone at my end or the other end. The calls got logged in the VFX tray tool, but the help desk confirmed that the calls did not get logged on the billing system.

I would assume that for security reasons the tray tool does not access the billing system data directly?

Yes that is correct Niel, it actually shows you what was dialled from your VFX line ie attempted calls not the connected calls, it's actually quite handy as you can see if you dialled a short number for example like in this case here for example i was to slow in the dialling to the 419 number etc, also remember on the billing you can check your Viewbill to see if a call was charged or not
